BART police release photo of man accused of stabbing woman on train

A man allegedly stabbed a 54-year-old woman on a BART train this morning as it approached 24th Street Mission station, sending her to the hospital with “serious injuries,” according to a statement from BART officials. BART police released a photo of the man, who they described as a “possible Asian male,” who was about 5-foot-8 and 160 pounds, with a mustache and black braided hair wrapped in a knot on top of his head. He wore a black jacket with an orange liner, a black shirt with a white logo, gray and black cargo pants, and dark colored boots. The US is pumping more oil than ever, and it’s complicating things for other crude-exporting countries

Anton Petrus/Getty Images US crude production hit a new all-time monthly high in August. This complicates things for OPEC+, which was planning to start increasing output in December. Oil is down 20% from April highs, causing some exporters to be cautious about how much they're pumping. The US is pumping a record amount of oil. But that may not be welcome news to other crude-producing nations. Domestic output reached 13.4 million barrels a day in August, eclipsing all previous monthly records. According to US Energy Information Administration data, firms in Texas and New Mexico led the surge. That level of production puts the US at odds with the plans of other oil-producing nations. Target security guard in downtown S.F. beats man repeatedly with baton

A private security guard working for the Metreon Target store struck a San Francisco man at least 10 times with a baton on Friday evening, after the man punched him in the face for allegedly taking his money. Before the punch and subsequent beating, Shan Bowerman, 56, said the guard forcibly took his cash from his pocket and used a stun gun on him twice.Bowerman said the guard took his money after siding with Bowerman’s girlfriend in a dispute over money: The girlfriend tried to take Bowerman’s cash and said it was hers; Bowerman said the money was his and she was stealing it.Part of the incident was captured on video, on the crowded street corner at Mission and Fourth streets.  Just before 6:30 p.m., Bowerman was following two security guards in International Protective Service, Inc. uniforms from the northwest corner […]

YouTuber Dingo Dinkelman Dies of Snake Bite

Graham "Dingo" Dinkelman has died. The wildlife conservationist, dubbed "South Africa's Steve Irwin," ran a wildlife sanctuary called Dingo's Farm and Reptile Park. His YouTube channel had over 100,000 subscribers. A month ago, Dinkelman was bitten by a venomous snake and went into anaphylactic shock. His wife shared an update that he has since passed away. "While Dingo was renowned for his involvement with snakes and other reptiles, his compassion extended to all creatures," a statement from his wife said. Source: www.yahoo.com

S.F. police union head flips off activist in heated exchange
