Trump says John Deere will be hit with 200% tariffs if production moves to Mexico

Table for one: Lunette, superb Cambodian stall at the Ferry Building

In 2022, Chef Nite Yun disappointed her legions of Oakland fans by closing Cambodian restaurant, Nyum Bai. San Francisco is now the lucky home of Lunette, her newest venture. Upbring, a nonprofit organization headquartered in Austin that provides foster care, adoption and education services, will operate the Head Start Preschool program in Nueces County after a local agency that offered Head Start services in the area since 1965 was denied new federal funding.The Nueces County Community Action Agency will run the Birth-to-Five Head Start program, designed to foster the development of young children from low-income families, through the end of the year.Earlier this year, the agency was investigated by the federal Administration for Children and Families, which oversees the Office of Head Start, for reports of children being left unsupervised at its child care centers. Spending deal averts a possible federal shutdown and funds the government into December

WASHINGTON (AP) — Congressional leaders announced an agreement Sunday on a short-term spending bill that will fund federal agencies for about three months, averting a possible partial government shutdown when the new budget year begins Oct. 1 and pushing final decisions until after the November election.Lawmakers have struggled to get to this point as the current budget year winds to a close at month's end. School Board candidates struggle to stand out on crowded stage

With the San Francisco Unified School District readying to sail off the edge of the map, 10 of the 11 declared Board of Education candidates shared their plans on proposed school closures and the district’s mammoth budget deficit with over 100 community members at a Friday night forum. The 11 candidate, Lefteris Eleftheriou, didn’t attend the forum held at Gordon J. Victim in life-threatening condition after Mission Street shooting 

At around 9:50 p.m. on Friday police officers responded to a shooting at the 1900 block of Mission Street, according to the San Francisco Police Department. When officers arrived at the scene on Mission Street between 15th and 16th streets, a victim was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid and the victim was then transported to the hospital for life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact SFPD at 415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.  Kelly is Irish and French and grew up in Dublin and Luxembourg. Woman shot, killed inside Newnan gun shop, suspect arrested

A woman was shot and killed inside a metro Atlanta gun shop on Friday night, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.The GBI says that Newnan police officers were called to Oz Tactical on East Court Square just before 9:30 p.m. for an unknown problem call. Before they arrived, that call was upgraded to shots fired inside the store.[DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks]When they got there, they found 28-year-old Olivia Faith Robinson dead from a gunshot wound.Investigators later determined that 38-year-old William Brannon Owens shot her.
